Balenciaga’s Autumn/Winter 2024 show took a trip to Los Angeles for a dose of California dreaming. Sportswear influences and velour tracksuits encapsulated the laid-back side of the city, but exaggerated proportions, tailoring and statement gowns took over the runway in a nod to glamorous Hollywood – two juxtaposing aesthetics that embody the City of Angels, creative director Demna’s ideas and Cristóbal Balenciaga’s legacy.
