Fans of gourmet pan-Asian cuisine, rejoice. Chai Wu has opened a sister restaurant on the Fourth Floor – the Dim Sum Terrace – offering a tantalising menu of dim sum and cocktails, alongside views over Knightsbridge from a heated terrace.
Made fresh every morning, delicate steamed dumplings are reimagined with innovative designs and luxury ingredients. Choose from fillings such as saffron king crab, fermented chilli and Dover sole, and lobster and coriander.
Equally tempting are the BBQ pork steamed buns, aka perfectly pillowy clouds filled with rich and saucy tender pork. Not to mention a tantalising array of baked and deep-fried delights, including Wagyu and taro croquettes, duck spring rolls and – waiter-recommended – perfectly crispy kataifi scallops topped with salmon roe.
All this with a mouth-watering menu of cocktails – think lychee, grapefruit and fresh ginger Martinis and green-tea infused vodka with cucumber syrup and fresh mint – as well as fragrant teas and fine wines.
